Diversity Offerings
The Cultural Awareness, Respect and Engagement (CARE) committee is a campus-wide initiative which focuses on promoting full inclusion of all peoples and creating an environment where racial and cultural differences are seen as assets. The committee sponsors several free community events throughout the year. We hope you will join us for an event on campus.

Films That Feed Your Brain
Please bring an open mind and join the students, faculty, and staff for an evening of free entertainment and thoughtful conversation. Some of the offerings may be somewhat controversial and were chosen to initiate dialogue around the films’ central issues. The films deal with adult content and are not intended for children. Free popcorn and sodas are provided.

Lunch and Learn
You bring your own lunch and we'll provide a free opportunity for you to learn something new and share your perspectives on the topics. These events are open to students, staff, faculty and the community, so please remember to bring a friend.

Minnesota American Indian Institute on Alcohol and Drug Studies Conference (MAIIADS)
The mission for the annual MAIIADS conference is: “To provide education on alcohol and drug abuse that addresses the total well-being of the American Indian individual, family, and community that is sensitive to cultural healing traditions.”

The Institute is a time for professionals from American Indian communities to come together and enhance our knowledge about chemical abuse, to discuss ways to approach the healing of our communities, to learn new techniques, and most importantly, to continue our own healing processes.
