Ten years ago, I would have never imagined being in the position of Interim President at Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College. Driving onto campus each day, I am reminded of the special place we get to work at and that we are able to help students become successful in whatever path they choose.
As with any institution, there are unique challenges that must be faced, but we are fundamentally in a great place. There are wonderful people who work at the college and believe in its mission and values. The unique partnership between the Fond du Lac Band of Lake Superior Chippewa and the State is an ever-unfolding experiment in a union of cultures in which everyone strives toward the same goal of becoming a better person through a postsecondary education. This partnership is grounded in the faith we can each become better by walking together, and what we have created here is a path for those coming behind us to follow.
The college’s vision statement promises to offer a postsecondary education to honor the past, for those living in the present and dreaming the future. This is important to remember as we work to honor Jack’s legacy and continue to further Larry’s vision.
On behalf of our staff, faculty, and administration, thank you for your interest in Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College. We have a special institution and are excited for you to be a part of our community.
