FDLTCC’s sixteen-credit athletic coaching certificate meets the requirements of the Minnesota State High School League and Minnesota Statute 122A.33, which dictates the minimum coaching education necessary to be a head coach at the high school level. It is designed to complement any degree, and many of the courses that compose the certificate are helpful in youth coaching in addition to the high school level. It is also financial aid eligible.
The athletic coaching certificate is an ideal option for anyone who would like to:
- advance in an already-established career in K-12 education,
- enhance their future employability as they enter the K-12 job market, or
- learn a new skill set that provides extra income on the side no matter the career path.
