Direct Subsidized and Direct Unsubsidized Loans

There are 3 steps in applying for Direct Subsidized and Direct Unsubsidized Loans

  •  Entrance Loan Counseling   Click on the green SIGN IN button, and complete the Entrance Loan Counseling.  When you have completed the Entrance Counseling DO NOT LOGOUT!  You can move to the next step in the process – the Master Promissory Note – from the screen you are on.  You don’t need to turn anything in to the Financial Aid Office – the website will notify the Financial Aid Office for you.
  • Master Promissory Note (MPN)  Staying on the same page that you ended your Entrance Counseling on, click on the COMPLETE MPN link in the left margin.  Again, the website will notify the Financial Aid Office that you have completed the MPN.
  • Loan Request Form. Complete the online Loan Request Form on your eServices account at > Current Students > Student eServices > Account Access > Login > Financial Aid > select the correct semester > Loans. Once you are on the Loan Application screen, the amount displayed is the “Full Time” amount. If you are taking less than 12 credits, please retrieve your accurate loan amount using the “To see your eligibility at all enrollment levels” link. If the loan amount or loan period (the terms during the school year you want the loan for, i.e. Fall term only, or both Fall and Spring) are incorrect, make the changes and Continue.

The following forms are provided if you prefer to complete a paper Loan Request Form:

 Fall/Spring Loan Request Form

 Summer Loan Request Form
