DESCRIPTION:Presented by the Bimaaji’idiwin FDLTCC Extension Program Producer Training Program\nJoin us for free tours of the Food Farm & Gitigaaning Farm. This fun event is open to everyone and lunch is provided. Registration is required. Please remember to dress for the weather. \nTo register\, contact Erika Resendiz Alonso at erika.resendizalonso*AT*fdltcc.edu. \n  \nSchedule\n10:00am – Meet at Gitigaaning Farm (960 Cary Rd\, Cloquet\, MN)\n11:00 am – Depart Gitigaaning\n11:30 am – Food Farm tour (2612 County Road 1\, Wrenshall\, MN)\n12:45 pm – Lunch and farmers network\n2:00 pm – Depart Food Farm \n  \nAbout the Farms\nGitigaaning Farm \nGitigaaning Farm is Fond du Lac’s newly developed 36 acre farm and part of Fond du Lac’s Food Sovereignty efforts. The property consists of berry patches\, an expanding orchard and 4 acres of tilled agricultural land where the Bimaaji’idiwin Producer Training Program\, Bimaaji’idiwin Garden Program\, FDLTCC Youth Program\, FDL Gitigaan Program and 1\,300 sq.ft. Growing Dome are located. \nThe Food Farm \nThe Food Farm is a certified organic farm located in Wrenshall\, Minnesota\, 30 minutes south of Duluth. The farm offers summer\, winter CSA\, preserving\, and egg shares\, enabling members to receive fresh local food most of the year.
