Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College Thunder Basketball student athletes Don Gordon and Nick Marshall signed national Letters of Intent this week and accepted scholarship offers to continue their playing careers at Division II National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) colleges.
Thunder Basketball point guard Nick Marshall signed his Letter of Intent to attend Presentation College in Aberdeen, South Dakota, a National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Division II college playing in the Northstar Conference. Marshall played two years for the Thunder, averaging less than one turnover per game in his sophomore season. Nick will graduate from Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College in May and plans to major in Business while playing for the Presentation College Saints. Nick is a 2012 graduate of Woodhaven High School in Brownstown, Michigan.
Thunder Basketball shooting guard Don Gordon also signed his Letter of Intent and will attend Mount Marty College in Yankton, South Dakota, another National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics Division II college and a member of the Great Plains Athletic Conference. Gordon led the Thunder in scoring this past season with 332 total points and a 42.9% three-point shooting average. Don will graduate in May from Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College and plans to major in Elementary Education while playing for the Lancers. Don is a 2014 graduate of Bayfield High School and is from Red Cliff, Wisconsin.
“I could not be more proud of these two players,” said Thunder Basketball Head Coach Damien Paulson about the pair of players signing Division II scholarship offers. “Nick and Don have worked hard, played two years for the Thunder, and completed degrees. They will be excellent representatives of Thunder Basketball at the next level. I look forward to seeing and hearing about continued success from them.”
Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College is a member of the Minnesota College Athletic Conference and the National Junior College Athletic Association.

Testimonials

I chose FDLTCC because of its size and the curriculum. When I first came here in 2019, I was just looking for what I needed to volunteer, perhaps in a crisis shelter. I met with Don Jarvinen, and the rest is history.

It is awesome here at the FDLTCC Education Program because it is like a family here, if you need help or are struggling with anything, you have quite a few people who will help you out.

My favorite thing about FDLTCC is the people. I’ve met fantastic students, faculty and staff who go above and beyond what I expected.
