Food for Thought is a tasting event where area businesses offer delicious food specialties for guests to sample. Everyone attending the fun event can vote for their favorite food and dessert presented during the evening. The Golden Spoon Award and Silver Spoon Dessert Award are based on the popular vote held during the event and the coveted awards are presented to the vendors at the end of the evening.
A highlight of the Food for Thought event is the Wall of Wine featuring beverages generously donated by Cold One Liquor. This year’s event will also feature beer selections. For a donation of $20, guests select a random bottle of wine or pack of beer and an envelope containing a gift card ranging in value from $10 to $50 donated from an area business. In past years, the100-bottle Wall of Wine sold out quickly, proving to be popular among event guests.
Tickets for the 2024 Food for Thought – A Tasting Event will be available for purchase at the FDLTCC Business Office or from Foundation Board members. Tickets cost $25 per person in advance, and $30 per person at the door on the day of the event. FDLTCC Foundation board members encourage purchasing tickets in advance before they sell out.
Special thanks to the FDLTCC students that help so much with the event from setup, dishwashing, cleanup and more!
