The Environmental Club aims to advance the student body in their understanding of how to better treat the world around us. The club reaches out to students throughout campus, not just those going into the Environmental field but those who want to have a positive and better understanding of the different aspects of the world around us.

As of the fall 2022, the Environmental Club meets 12pm – 1pm on Mondays at the Environmental Institute. The Environmental Institute is on the far south (yellow) side of campus across the road and in the A-frame house. Club meetings include lunch (which should be decided well in advance, though it is always last minute, but still good).

The Environmental Club has planned several events including deciding what should happen to the new medicine garden, hosting a club potluck with 6 different clubs participating, going on a trip down to the Minneapolis Science Museum, and helping with other events throughout the campus.  The club plans to continue to be one of the most active clubs on campus in future semesters.

Testimonials

It is awesome here at the FDLTCC Education Program because it is like a family here, if you need help or are struggling with anything, you have quite a few people who will help you out.

My favorite thing about FDLTCC is the people. I’ve met fantastic students, faculty and staff who go above and beyond what I expected.

I chose FDLTCC because of its size and the curriculum. When I first came here in 2019, I was just looking for what I needed to volunteer, perhaps in a crisis shelter. I met with Don Jarvinen, and the rest is history.
