How to apply as non-degree seeking:

When you reach Step 6: Major – Educational Intent, select one of the following options:

  • Complete courses and transfer without a degree.
You intend to use the courses you complete to fulfill degree requirements at another college or university, rather than at FDLTCC.
  • Complete courses, but not a degree.
The courses you intend to take are only for personal enrichment, not to meet any degree requirement.

Note: You will not be eligible for state or federal student financial aid as a non-degree seeking student at FDLTCC.

If you are a high school student and you did not select “Post Secondary Enrollment Options (PSEO) Student” under Step 6: Major – Application Type, navigate using the application’s “Back” button at the bottom of the page to return to the Application Type section and change your selection. If you continue the application as a “First Year, Returning, or Transfer Student,” you will be fully responsible for paying your tuition. Learn more about PSEO at PSEO – Post Secondary Enrollment Options – Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College.

REGISTERING FOR CLASSES

To register for classes at FDLTCC, you must first be admitted to the college. Applications are usually processed within 1-2 business days. You can log back in to the online application using your StarID info to check the status of your application once it’s been submitted.

Unless you are a visiting student that is currently attending another Minnesota State school, a hold will be placed on your account that states, “Needs to Attend Registration Session.” This means you will need to meet with your Academic Advisor before you’ll be able to register for classes.

If you have questions about any holds on your FDLTCC record, please contact Admissions.

Once you are fully admitted and have no holds on your account, you may follow the steps outlined in the Registration Guide below to register for class(es).

Testimonials

My favorite thing about FDLTCC is the people. I’ve met fantastic students, faculty and staff who go above and beyond what I expected.

I chose FDLTCC because of its size and the curriculum. When I first came here in 2019, I was just looking for what I needed to volunteer, perhaps in a crisis shelter. I met with Don Jarvinen, and the rest is history.

It is awesome here at the FDLTCC Education Program because it is like a family here, if you need help or are struggling with anything, you have quite a few people who will help you out.
