Get ready for pumpkins! Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College (FDLTCC) is excited to invite the community to the 20th annual Pumpkin Run & Walk on Saturday, October 18, 2025! The fantastic event is presented by the FDLTCC Child Development program’s Miskwaadesi Head Start Project in connection with Head Start Awareness Month.

FDLTCC is hosting the 20th annual Pumpkin Run & Walk on Saturday, October 18, 2025. The Ring Road Fun Run will begin at 9:30am and the 5-kilometer (3.1 miles) race will begin at 10:00am. The Ring Road Fun Run covers a single lap of the beautiful FDLTCC Campus, while the 5K starts and ends on campus. Both races are open to runners and walkers of all ages and abilities.

For the first time, strollers and baby joggers will be allowed during the 5K race. The updated course will now be using both sides of 14th Street to maintain the safest course for all racers.

“The goal of this change is to make the annual Pumpkin Run & Walk even more fun for the entire family, while still providing a quality 5K course for all participants, shared Taylor Warnes, Director of Marketing and Communications at FDLTCC.”

The entry fee leading up to and on race day is only $25.00 per person, with special pre-registration rates for students and individuals if submitted before October 10. Thanks to support from the FDLTCC Child Development program’s Miskwaadesi Head Start Project, children 10 and under can register for the Ring Road Fun Run for free!

Online registration is available through Tempo Tickets at https://tempotickets.com/PumpkinRun2025. Participants can also register by mail in advance or on the day of the race.

To celebrate the fun Halloween theme of the race, participants are encouraged to wear costumes or orange clothing. Prizes will be given for the best costumes.

The Pumpkin Run’s five-kilometer course is a mix of the campus ring road, County Road 3 (14th Street), and the residential streets of Valley View Drive and Harner Lane. Essentially flat, the course features a fast downhill stretch with a return trip up the same hill. Mile markers will be posted, and traffic control safety will be conducted by event volunteers.

Every registered finisher will receive a fabulous Pumpkin Run and Walk shirt and tote bag from the Miskwaadesi Head Start Project. Plus, delicious post-race refreshments will be provided by Upper Lakes Foods.

Awards will take place in the indoor/outdoor amphitheater on campus. Warm gathering areas will be available inside before and after the race.

Testimonials

My favorite thing about FDLTCC is the people. I’ve met fantastic students, faculty and staff who go above and beyond what I expected.

I chose FDLTCC because of its size and the curriculum. When I first came here in 2019, I was just looking for what I needed to volunteer, perhaps in a crisis shelter. I met with Don Jarvinen, and the rest is history.

It is awesome here at the FDLTCC Education Program because it is like a family here, if you need help or are struggling with anything, you have quite a few people who will help you out.
