We are excited to announce a partnership with Green New Deal Housing to offer courses that lay the groundwork for building green. We will also host the Green New Deal Housing Exhibit on campus starting September 7, 2021.
The courses at FDLTCC connect with Green New Deal Housing’s mission to develop equitable zero energy housing and a green collar workforce in the Arrowhead region. Green New Deal Homes are super-efficient, burn no fossil fuels and get most of their electricity from renewable energy. The four-part series will be held Tuesday evenings, 4:30pm – 6:30pm, at FDLTCC starting October 14th. Registration is open to everyone. Plus, people working in the building trades can earn continuing education credits, which are pending approval through the Department of Labor and Industry.
The Green New Deal Housing Exhibit features a model of Green New Deal Housing’s Evergreen House, a zero-energy home. The exhibit is free and open to the public September 7 through October 14.
For more information on the courses or exhibit contact the Director of Workforce Development & Continuing Education at Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College, Jeannie Kermeen, at 218-879-0790 or via email at jeannie.kermeen*AT*fdltcc.edu.

Testimonials

My favorite thing about FDLTCC is the people. I’ve met fantastic students, faculty and staff who go above and beyond what I expected.

It is awesome here at the FDLTCC Education Program because it is like a family here, if you need help or are struggling with anything, you have quite a few people who will help you out.

I chose FDLTCC because of its size and the curriculum. When I first came here in 2019, I was just looking for what I needed to volunteer, perhaps in a crisis shelter. I met with Don Jarvinen, and the rest is history.
