Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College is excited to host the 4th annual Ojibwe Language Symposium in person, February 3-5, 2023. The annual Ojibwe Language Symposium is a family oriented, collaborative, community event where language holders and learners can come together. The 4th Annual Ojibwe Language Symposium is free to everyone and registration is open through the start of the event on Friday, February 3. Like past years, the event will offer two strands of language learning: an emergent level for beginning speakers, and an immersive level for practitioners, and fluent speakers.

  • Presenter: Miigizi, Michael D. Sullivan Sr., PhD.
    Presentation Title: Statement Made by the Indians: Treaties, Sovereignty, and Language.

    Presentation: Ani-gikenindizong biminizha’aman i’iw gidinwewininaan: Self-awareness and your pursuit of language.
