12:00pm – 1:00pm, Room 186

A sound bath is a meditative, immersive experience where participants are “bathed” in sound waves and vibrations produced by instruments like singing bowls, gongs, and chimes. Designed to induce deep relaxation and reduce stress, participants typically lie down while a practitioner plays instruments in a slow, calming, and non-melodic manner, promoting physical and mental well-being.

Naloxone Training with Maddy Reinolt

12:00pm – 1:00pm, Commons

This training provides practical education on recognizing and responding to opioid overdoses using naloxone. Participants will learn how to identify the signs of an overdose, administer naloxone safely, and provide supportive care until emergency services arrive. Grounded in harm reduction principles, this training emphasizes a person-centered and trauma-informed approach that reduces stigma and prioritizes dignity, safety, and compassion.

Reiki with Carolyn Ripp from The Nest Wellness Studio

12:00pm – 4:30pm, Library
Reserve your Spot for Reiki Required

Reiki is a Japanese energy healing technique (literally “universal life energy”) where practitioners lightly place their hands on or just above a fully clothed recipient to promote stress reduction, relaxation, and emotional or physical healing. It works by balancing the body’s energy pathways (chakras) to support the body’s innate healing abilities. Sessions are non-invasive and often feel like a warm, glowing radiance, aimed at balancing the mind, body, and spirit.

Sessions will be 30 minutes long. Please arrive 5 minutes early.

Webinigewin: A Journey of Releasing and Healing

11:45am – 12:45pm, Room 257

Webinigewin is a traditional Anishinaabe practice centered on the intentional release of illness, hardship, and what no longer serves us. Rooted in ceremony and reflection, it invites individuals to thoughtfully consider what is not benefiting their lives whether physical, emotional, mental, or spiritual and to let it go in a good way.

This session will explore the meaning and process of Webinigewin, guiding participants in reflecting on what they may need to release and encouraging the respectful use of this ceremonial practice when seeking balance and renewal.

Testimonials

It is awesome here at the FDLTCC Education Program because it is like a family here, if you need help or are struggling with anything, you have quite a few people who will help you out.

My favorite thing about FDLTCC is the people. I’ve met fantastic students, faculty and staff who go above and beyond what I expected.

I chose FDLTCC because of its size and the curriculum. When I first came here in 2019, I was just looking for what I needed to volunteer, perhaps in a crisis shelter. I met with Don Jarvinen, and the rest is history.
