A Unique Approach
The Business program at Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College is not just like other college Business degrees. To uniquely position the program and give students a competitive edge, core courses are presented from an American Indian cultural perspective. Students learn essential business skills that can be used successfully in the multi-disciplinary conditions of both American Indian and non-Indian workplace situations.
The mission of the Business Department is to provide students with an opportunity to be trained in a broad range of business skills designed to allow students to adapt to the multi-disciplinary conditions commonly experienced in workplace environments. Students are provided with analytical and communication skills within an enriched professional and ethical learning environment that will prepare them to become leaders in the modern world.
Degree and Certificate Options
The Business program offers several degree and certificate options across a range of business specializations. The different programs provide convenient flexibility to students who may want to explore a variety of business-related subjects. Seeking the best preparation for a successful career, many students choose to complete multiple degree and certificate programs.
- Business/Financial Services (Associate of Science degree)
- Small Business Entrepreneurship (Associate of Applied Science degree)
Certificates provide focused training in specialized areas. Certificates are designed to be completed in a short period of time and are based on entry level business concepts and skills.
- Small Business/Entrepreneurship
Program planners and degree checklists can be read and printed at the page located here. Degree requirements and course are subject to change. Students should consult with an advisor/counselor when registering for courses.
The multiple degree and certificate options benefit students interested in most business-related professions, including business administration, small business development and entrepreneurship, economics, banking and finance, international business, sales, management, tribal management, accounting, and marketing.
Graduates can look forward to a job market that is very good. Current labor market information indicates an ongoing need for professionals trained in a wide range of business skills.
Students have excellent access to computer resources, state of the art science laboratories, computer labs, and high-tech classrooms as well as business calculators. Well-qualified faculty and the multi-cultural environment at the college offer opportunities that no other college can provide.
