Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College is among the 30 colleges and seven universities of Minnesota State waiving application fees in October for all or part of College Knowledge Month, an annual statewide effort to encourage students to apply to college.
“The free application period during College Knowledge Month in October comes at a great time as it supports our goal of encouraging students to apply early for college admission and dream about their futures,” said Josh Cleveland, Admissions Officer at Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College. “When I am at college fairs and high school visits, students often tell me they thought it was going to be much harder to apply and they are glad to start the process early and be accepted to college. The no-fee application during October is an added bonus.”
Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College has chosen to waive application fees for the entire month of October 2019. Most Minnesota State colleges and universities are waiving application fees from October 25-31, 2019. Application fees for qualified low-income students are always waived at all Minnesota State system colleges and universities.
The application for admissions is then followed with a placement test, applying for financial aid, and then sitting down with an adviser to pick classes. The free application period during October is available for students planning to start classes during Spring 2020 or Fall 2020 Semesters at Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College.
“We have participated in the application fee waiver during College Knowledge Month every October for several years,” said Susan Bumann, Admissions Representative at Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College. “It really does encourage future college students to start the application process sooner rather than later, which is a win-win opportunity for everyone.”
Applications for admission are available online here, or by calling Susan Bumann in the Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College Admissions Office at 218-879-0808 or via email to sbumann*AT*fdltcc.edu.

Testimonials

I chose FDLTCC because of its size and the curriculum. When I first came here in 2019, I was just looking for what I needed to volunteer, perhaps in a crisis shelter. I met with Don Jarvinen, and the rest is history.

It is awesome here at the FDLTCC Education Program because it is like a family here, if you need help or are struggling with anything, you have quite a few people who will help you out.

My favorite thing about FDLTCC is the people. I’ve met fantastic students, faculty and staff who go above and beyond what I expected.
