The Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College (FDLTCC) community celebrated the release of the 11th issue of The Thunderbird Review on April 13, 2023, as part of the Fine Arts Week 2023. The inclusive journal features work that speaks to the human condition and that fulfills the College’s goal to create a union of cultures.

“It is beautiful to watch a community coalesce year after year around making a book, and this year was no exception,” shared writer and faculty editor, Darci Schummer, “Our 11th edition showcases some amazing voices from the local area and our extended community.”

This year’s release includes work from Robert DesJarlait, Sam Zimmerman, Rachel Coyne, Marlene Wisuri, Carl Gawboy, Halee Kirkwood, and many more from the wonderful FDLTCC community. For the full list of contributors, visit fdltcc.edu.

Testimonials

I chose FDLTCC because of its size and the curriculum. When I first came here in 2019, I was just looking for what I needed to volunteer, perhaps in a crisis shelter. I met with Don Jarvinen, and the rest is history.

It is awesome here at the FDLTCC Education Program because it is like a family here, if you need help or are struggling with anything, you have quite a few people who will help you out.

My favorite thing about FDLTCC is the people. I’ve met fantastic students, faculty and staff who go above and beyond what I expected.
