On Friday, May 15th, the Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College proudly hosted 14 Minnesota High-Schools that competed in the Annual Lester “Jack” Briggs Regional High-School Quiz Bowl Championship. The one-day competition tested students’ knowledge of Ojibwe language, culture, and history. Trophies and medals were handed out after the last game of the day. Congratulations and Chi-miigwech to all the participants and their coordinators.

The FDLTCC Lester “Jack” Briggs Regional Quiz Bowl is a tournament that tests the students’ knowledge of Ojibwe language, culture, and history. The quiz bowl provides space for high-school students to compete in a friendly way involving subjects that are focused on our language and culture. These are at the center of the LJB quiz bowl, and the students take great pride in being knowledgeable in these areas.

Testimonials

It is awesome here at the FDLTCC Education Program because it is like a family here, if you need help or are struggling with anything, you have quite a few people who will help you out.

I chose FDLTCC because of its size and the curriculum. When I first came here in 2019, I was just looking for what I needed to volunteer, perhaps in a crisis shelter. I met with Don Jarvinen, and the rest is history.

My favorite thing about FDLTCC is the people. I’ve met fantastic students, faculty and staff who go above and beyond what I expected.
