FDLTCC Foundation Executive Director

Robert Hofmann, M.A., CFRE, serves as the Executive Director of the Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College Foundation. A seasoned fundraising professional, Robert has dedicated his career to addressing the unique challenges posed by dementia among donors. As a proud native of the Twin Cities, he previously secured over $24 million for scholarships, programs, libraries, and museums during his tenure at the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) from 2007 to 2024.

Robert is one of only 7,700 Certified Fund Raising Executives (CFRE) worldwide. He co-leads a group of fundraisers and researchers developing policies and training to help frontline fundraisers engage compassionately with donors affected by dementia. His research and advocacy emphasize the importance of ethical standards and specialized training in the fundraising profession.

Testimonials

I chose FDLTCC because of its size and the curriculum. When I first came here in 2019, I was just looking for what I needed to volunteer, perhaps in a crisis shelter. I met with Don Jarvinen, and the rest is history.

It is awesome here at the FDLTCC Education Program because it is like a family here, if you need help or are struggling with anything, you have quite a few people who will help you out.

My favorite thing about FDLTCC is the people. I’ve met fantastic students, faculty and staff who go above and beyond what I expected.
