Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College is honoring retiring President Larry Anderson with a public reception at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 6, 2018, on the campus in Cloquet. Friends of the college and Larry Anderson, as well as former students, employees, and all community members are invited to attend and celebrate President Anderson’s contributions to Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College.
The reception will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the college amphitheater with an opening prayer and drum, followed by invited guest speakers at 11:30 a.m. A performance by Gina Fitzpatrick will follow at 12:15 p.m., and then the celebration will move to the Briggs Center Gymnasium for a lunch, slide show, and open mic for anyone wishing to tell a story about Larry or to provide words of congratulations and well wishes for his happy retirement.
President Anderson will conclude a 10-year term as President on June 30, 2018. He was appointed interim President in July 2008 and ultimately was named President in August 2009. Anderson first came to the college in 1996 as Director of the TRIO Student Support Services program, and subsequently served as Dean of Student Affairs, and then Vice President of Administration and Student Services.
