Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College complies fully with the provisions of Sections 504 & 508 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Americans with Disabilities Act (Title II), Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1AA), and the Minnesota Respond, Innovate, Succeed, and Empower (RISE) Act of 2024. The RISE Act strengthens the process for students requesting disability-related accommodations by ensuring transparency and consistency in the documentation and accommodation process.
We offer a range of individualized services, but not limited to:
- Academic and Personal Support: Our team provides personalized support to help individuals achieve their educational and personal goals.
- Adaptive Equipment: We offer assistance with adaptive equipment to ensure that everyone can fully participate in our programs.
- Notetaking and Testing Accommodations: We provide notetaking assistance and testing accommodations to support individuals in their academic pursuits.
- Advocacy and Assistance: Our staff works closely with individuals to advocate for their needs and assist with accessing community resources.
Our goal is to create an inclusive environment where everyone feels valued and supported.
It is the responsibility and right of students to request services prior to or at the beginning of each academic term, although students may request accommodations at any time.
Students will meet with the Accessibility Coordinator to set up reasonable accommodations, the student will grant permission to send these to the course instructors, and finally the student will activate these accommodations by communicating with each instructor.
