The Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College Thunder Football team hosted the Yellowjackets of Rochester Community and Technical College at Bromberg Field on October 1 during week six for the final home game of the season. The game got off to a slow start with both teams struggling to find their offensive rhythm.
The Thunder defense, which has played strong all season, held the Rochester offense to only nine points in the first half. The Thunder found the end zone once in the first half on a quarterback keeper by Joseph Jordan in only his second start of the season, however the Thunder would miss their two-point conversion attempt to make the halftime score Rochester 9, Thunder 6.
To start the second half, Rochester scored a quick touchdown for a 15-6 lead heading into the fourth quarter.  Joseph Jordan found the end zone through the air for the first time, completing a beautiful 25-yard pass to wide receiver Jordan Miller. Jordan would again find Miller in the end zone to complete the 2-point conversion, bringing the Thunder within a point at 15-14 and only a quarter left to play.
The Thunder looked as though they might pose a terrific fourth quarter comeback against a solid Rochester program which, like the Thunder are in a rebuilding season.  However, Rochester would answer the fourth quarter Thunder score with a touchdown of their own, giving them a 22-14 victory and continuing their unbeaten streak against the Thunder.
The Thunder will be on the road at Grand Rapids next week and Worthington for the final week of the season.

Testimonials

My favorite thing about FDLTCC is the people. I’ve met fantastic students, faculty and staff who go above and beyond what I expected.

I chose FDLTCC because of its size and the curriculum. When I first came here in 2019, I was just looking for what I needed to volunteer, perhaps in a crisis shelter. I met with Don Jarvinen, and the rest is history.

It is awesome here at the FDLTCC Education Program because it is like a family here, if you need help or are struggling with anything, you have quite a few people who will help you out.
