Anthony Boyd, Jr., and Thunder Football Head Coach Robert Smith

Congratulations to Thunder Football student athlete Anthony Boyd, Jr., on signing an offer to join the University of St. Thomas Football team!
Anthony was a combination QB/DB/WR for the Thunder, earning MCAC Player of the Week honors for his combined 458 passing yards, 99 rushing yards, and four touchdown passes in the Thunder’s game vs. Rochester.
Anthony is a graduate of Pine Forest High School in Pensacola, FL, and graduated from FDLTCC after Fall Semester 2019.
Boyd joins the perennial football powerhouse Tommies who finished 8-2 and were co-champions of the MIAC in 2019.

It is awesome here at the FDLTCC Education Program because it is like a family here, if you need help or are struggling with anything, you have quite a few people who will help you out.

I chose FDLTCC because of its size and the curriculum. When I first came here in 2019, I was just looking for what I needed to volunteer, perhaps in a crisis shelter. I met with Don Jarvinen, and the rest is history.

I chose FDLTCC for a fresh start in life. It had been two years since I graduated High School and I wanted more than just working a 9-5. I was living in Florida at the time, and I had an opportunity to travel the world doing what I love playing the game of basketball.
