Hero Douglas, Thunder football

Hero Douglas and Thunder Football Head Coach Robert Smith

Congratulations to Thunder Football student athlete Hero Douglas who recently signed an offer to attend college and play football at the College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minnesota!
Hero played WR/DB for the Thunder and graduated from FDLTCC at the end of Fall Semester 2019.
Originally from Austin, Texas, and a graduate of NYOS Charter School, Hero joins the successful CSS Saints Football program and a team that finished 7-3 last season in the UMAC.

It is awesome here at the FDLTCC Education Program because it is like a family here, if you need help or are struggling with anything, you have quite a few people who will help you out.

I chose FDLTCC for a fresh start in life. It had been two years since I graduated High School and I wanted more than just working a 9-5. I was living in Florida at the time, and I had an opportunity to travel the world doing what I love playing the game of basketball.

I chose FDLTCC because of its size and the curriculum. When I first came here in 2019, I was just looking for what I needed to volunteer, perhaps in a crisis shelter. I met with Don Jarvinen, and the rest is history.
