Fond du Lac Tribal and Community College Thunder Women’s Basketball student athlete Jaiden Cofield was named Minnesota College Athletic Conference Northern Division Player of the Week for games played January 19-24, 2015. This is Jaiden’s second consecutive week and her third time overall this season being named Player of the Week. She is a freshman from Cloquet, MN.
Jaiden earned her second straight Player of the Week honor as she averaged 30.5 points, 10.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 3.5 steals per game while playing all 40 minutes in each game. Cofield made 9-of- 17 three-point attempts (53%), and 20 of 23 free throw attempts (87%).
Cofield currently leads the MCAC Northern Division statistical leaders in scoring with a 20.8 average per game, in rebounding with an 11.5 average per game, and in steals with a 3.6 average per game. She is second in free throw average at 82.4% made on 131 attempts.
The Minnesota College Athletic Conference is a member of the National Junior College Athletic Association. The women’s basketball conference includes 16 teams which are divided geographically into Northern and Southern Divisions.
