The 15th annual Pumpkin Run & Walk 5K has been changed to a virtual event format and no in-person event will be held in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
We hope runners and walkers will still register to participate and then run or walk on their favorite course and submit a finishing time. The virtual Pumpkin Run & Walk is open to all interested runners and walkers.
The last day to register as a participant is midnight on Sunday, October 25, 2020.
You can complete your 5K run or walk anytime, on the course of your choice, and submit a finishing time between October 15 and November 1, 2020. Submitting a finishing time is encouraged but optional, please submit your finishing times by clicking here.
Participants are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes or wear orange clothing to celebrate the theme of the race when they complete their virtual race on the course of their choice. You can post your photos on the Pumpkin Run Facebook event page or send them to us: firstname.lastname@example.org
No overall winners or age group performance awards and prizes will be given this year.
The 2020 Pumpkin Run & Walk 5K will be held as a virtual event this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We apologize for not being able to hold an in-person event this year. There is no need to come to campus to register or to pick up shirts.
Online registration is available through Tempo Tickets by clicking here to follow the link to the online registration web page. Online registration closes at midnight on Sunday, October 26. All registration is being done online this year, no paper forms are available.
We have two levels of registration for the virtual event.
FREE Registration Option: No cost, no shirt, no frills. Participants who select the FREE Registration Option will receive offers from local running goods stores in the mail or via email and will be entered into a drawing for random prizes.
“Buy-a-Shirt” Registration Option: Get a long-sleeve, quality technical fabric Pumpkin Run shirt for a low registration fee! Participants who register for the “Buy-a-Shirt” Option will receive their shirts in the mail, we plan to mail them out around October 28-29 if all goes as planned. Participants who select the “Buy-a-Shirt” Registration Option will also receive offers from local running goods stores in the mail or via email and will be entered into a drawing for random prizes.
Here are photos of the 2020 Pumpkin Run shirts (subject to minor change if needed, these are just preliminary examples.) We have Unisex and Women’s styles available. Shirt fit/sizing is described as generally true-to-size.
Submit your 2020 Virtual Results
Participants can submit their results for the 2020 Virtual Pumpkin Run & Walk by clicking here to go to the results submission form. We’re using the “honor system” and you do not need to send in documentation like files from a GPS device, Strava, Garmin, etc. We will list everyone who submits a finishing result in the official 2020 results. (Remember, no awards are being given this year.)
There is no “in-person” event in 2020, participants select a safe 5K course of their own. You do not need to run the Pumpkin Run course in 2020.
